Our Leathers

Studio Vivir prides itself for using genuine upcycled and recycled leather.

We source the upcyled leather from leftover stocks from tanneries that would otherwise be headed to landfills. We treat these skins in-house with our wash and tumble machines, protective chemical sprays, shiners and more and a panel of experts then conduct a quality check, the usable parts of the leather is approved for production while the non-usable parts are rejected, ensuring that the product you get is of the best quality. Our manufacturing partners have been in the industry for decades and have an audited company, so the quality of their work is unquestionable.

We source our recycled leather by purchasing old and unused stocks of other businesses which they want to unload in landfills, old car seats, furniture and more, we then cut away the damaged portion of the leather and make innovative products with smaller panels (hence the additional seams and stitching in recycled products)

Please note that since Studio Vivir is a socially responsible business working towards a greener future and using only what is available instead of getting new leather produced, some variation on leather grain pattern, seam stitch and colour is expected as we work with what we get, we try to get the products as close to our samples on the site as possible, but if you still feel unsatisfied with the products we understand and take returns, you can check the returns page for further information.
